Feedle - Song For Dogs
Not much is known about Feedle, apart from the fact he’s from Sheffield in the north of England. It’s been said that he’s a DJ who can’t mix, a musician who can’t be bothered to make music and a performer who hates performing. The single is the prelude to a full physical release of the album ‘Leave Now For Adventure’ in early 2007.
‘Song For Dogs’ is a squaling, roaring distorted racket underpinned by subtle melodies which lurk beneath a paint-shredding cacophony of fizzing, life affirming white noise and drums, whereas ‘Her Brain Goes Global’ is the only song you’ll hear this year which features the vocal talents of John Peel and Judy Garland.

One Week To LiveFor a little while there i wondered what happened to the Warp school of electronica. Feedle, also known by his dentist as Graham Clarke, is definitely part of the '97 alumni. Title track 'Song For Dogs' sounds like a mixture between Death In Vegas' melodica a la 'Scorpio Rising' and Autechre's earlier output. A choppy melodic piece of electronica combining both analogue instruments and samples over alternating breakbeats is a touch more like the sounds of Daedelus sped up to plus-eight. Not to say it's a bad thing, just that if there were ever a genre called turbo melodica, this would be the anthem.
